The First Tee
The Toro Company is proud to serve as a preferred supplier for The First Tee. Since 1998 Toro has partnered with The First Tee to provide chapter’s high quality equipment and irrigation. In addition, annually Toro donates $20,000 in product to a chapter.
In the past two years, The Toro Company and Walt Disney World Resorts partnered with TFT to present The Future Leaders Forum. This innovative educational program engages 50 students in exploring the broad range of career opportunities associated with the golf industry.
The First Tee (www.thefirsttee.org) is an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in St. Augustine, FL at World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Its mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
Environmental Institute for Golf
The Environmental Institute for Golf is a collaborative effort of the environmental and golf communities directed at strengthening the compatibility of the game of golf with the natural environment. Toro annually supports the programs of this organization that closely align with the company’s purpose of helping customers beautify and preserve outdoor environments.
Baseball Tomorrow Fund
The Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF) is a joint initiative between MLB and the MLB Players Association that was established in 1999 through a $10 million commitment. The mission is to promote and enhance the growth of youth participation in baseball and softball around the world by funding programs, fields, coaches' training, and the purchase of uniforms and equipment. The Toro Company partners with BTF to provide grantees with discount on equipment as well as an equipment donation each year.
Olson Middle School
Olson Middle School has served as a local business partner with Toro's corporate headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota since 1997. Through this partnership, Olson Middle School pledges to provide human resources, while Toro pledges to provide financial support, along with in-kind donations and volunteer hours. With the goal of impacting each grade level, Toro and its employees have interacted with Olson Middle School in a diverse array of group and individual volunteer efforts including Community Service Days, Rolling Readers, Junior Achievement and Youth Frontiers.
